2017 Sonoma Coast Black Family Vineyard Pinot Noir

The Black Family vineyard is a lovely thirty-acre vineyard located high above the valley floor on Taylor Mountain along the Sonoma coast. We hand harvest the small clusters of Dijon clone 777 Pinot noir from two separate vineyard blocks on the property, each with its own unique microclimate. After cold soaking and destemming the grapes we slowly ferment them in small open-top fermenters. After fermentation is complete we gently press them into new and neutral French oak barrels where they mature for eleven months until bottling. Only one hundred cases of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it.

Tasting Notes: 

Invigorating aromas of dark red berry, spice and underbrush. Impressive concentration and fruit presence, offering flavors of dark red and purple berries underlain with a hint of earthiness. The texture is dreamy and the wine is impeccably balanced.
