This one is truly a creation of our own hands from vine to bottle. It comes to you from our small family vineyard in the Sebastopol Hills of West Sonoma County and is made entirely from biodynamic grape vines planted and farmed by the Michal family. The field blend of five different clones of Pinot noir was directly pressed into juice with only hours of skin contact. It was slow fermented and then aged in stainless steel for six months to preserve the subtle aromatics of the wine before bottling. Only two barrels of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it.
Tasting Notes
On the nose the wine offers bright and fresh aromas of strawberries, orange blossom, and red grapefruit. The wine has an energetic mouthfeel with a compact linear minerality in the beginning and a richer texture and mouthfeel on the finish. Given the high acidity and low alcohol it is quite refreshing on a warm day and pairs well with lighter cheeses and creamy dishes.
