Sofia’s Block is a special planting of Merlot vines on a small plot of the Tin Cross vineyard in Northern Sonoma County. Farmed using organic methods, the slope and high elevation of this block produce tiny berried clusters with excellent tannin and acidity. We naturally process the grapes, fermenting in small open-top fermenters and gently pressing to barrel upon completion. The wine then spends twenty-four months completing élevage in French oak barrels before bottling. Only one hundred cases of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it.
