Hogan’s Run is a tiny six-acre hillside vineyard in the middle-reach neighborhood of the Russian River Valley. Named in memory of the family Black Lab, Hogan, it produces world-class 777, 667 and Pommard clone Pinot noir. After harvest, we cold-soak the grapes for three days and ferment them naturally in small open-top tanks. Following a long slow fermentation, we gently press the wine off into new and neutral French oak barrels where it matures for eleven months until bottling. Only one hundred cases of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it.
Tasting Notes: A dark garnet in the glass. Aromatics of strawberry and dark cherry. Gentle on the palate with medium weight and bright acidity offering flavors of red fruit, blueberry, earth and a spice. The fine tannin structure is satisfying, nicely extending the finish.
