Planted and farmed by our family in the Sebastopol Hills of West Sonoma County, Michal Vineyard is a small, biodynamically tended site rooted in Goldridge soils and coastal fog. A field blend of five Pinot Noir clones reflects the diversity and nuance of this cool climate hillside vineyard. We produce the wine by hand with native fermentation and minimal intervention to preserve the vineyard’s natural expression. The wine is aged in neutral French oak for eleven months before bottling. Only three barrels of this wine were produced, we hope you enjoy it.
Tasting Notes:
The wine opens with lifted aromatics of wild strawberry and black cherry framed by subtle notes of forest floor and spice. On the palate, the wine is vibrant yet refined, layers of red fruit and earthy minerality unfold with graceful balance and length. Fine-grained tannins and fresh coastal acidity carry through to a long, silky finish. This is a pure, expressive coastal Pinot Noir that captures the quiet beauty of our Sebastopol Hills vineyard and the terroir of the site and 2024 vintage.
